Welcome to Northside Badminton Centre! Weβre excited to have you on court. These Terms &
Conditions help ensure a safe, fair, and enjoyable experience for all players.
By making a booking, entering the facility, or participating in activities, you agree to these
terms.
1. Bookings & Payments
β All court bookings must be made through our approved booking system (AllBooked By
Skedda) or at front reception.
β A booking is only confirmed once payment is received (unless otherwise agreed).
β We reserve the right to refuse or adjust bookings where necessary (e.g. maintenance,
events, or safety requirements).
β Court hire fees are as per the current pricing schedule as indicated on the website.
Changes to the current pricing schedule will be updated on the website.
β All fees and charges are subject to change without advance notice.
2. Cancellations & Changes
β Any cancellations or changes require at least 48 hour notice prior to the confirmed
booking.
β No refunds are provided, however if the cancellation is made at least 48 hours prior, you
may reschedule your session based on the court availability by calling us to reschedule.
β It is your responsibility to finish your session according to your booking schedule. If you
continue to occupy the court beyond your booked time, additional charges may apply.
β Refunds and/or credits will be provided where a booking is cancelled by the centre due
to any unforeseen circumstances.
This policy ensures:
β The courts are available for other players
β Reduce last-minute gaps in bookings
β Maintain fair access for all members and guests
π₯ Group & Event Bookings
For programs, social bookings, or events:
β A longer cancellation period may apply (typically 48β72 hours)
β Deposits may be non-refundable depending on the booking type
3. Court Use & Behaviour
We aim to provide a welcoming and respectful environment for all users.
Conduct must be:
β Sportsmanlike: Participants are expected to display good sportsmanship at all times,
which includes showing respect for teammates, opponents, referees, our staff and the
facilities and the rules of the game.
β Safety: Participants should take steps to ensure their own safety and the safety of
others. This may include wearing appropriate equipment, reporting any unsafe
conditions or behaviors, and following safety guidelines set by the venue.
β Respect: Participants should conduct themselves in a respectable manner. Any form of
discrimination, harassment, bullying or offensive language towards other participants or
staff will not be tolerated.
β Smoking and Drug use: This is a smoke-free facility, which means there is no smoking,
vaping or use of e-cigarettes inside the venue or outside in the car park, including use of
any kind of drugs.
β Accountability: Participants are responsible for their own property at all times.
β Avoid walking on the court while a game is in progress.
β We reserve the right to remove any person behaving in a way that is unsafe, abusive, or
disruptive, without refund.
β No food or drinks are allowed in the playing area. Water and sport drinks in a sealed
container are permitted on the court side.
β The hirer must not do anything that would cause a breach of any law, permit, approval
or license on the facility.
β CCTV cameras operate within the facility. Participants acknowledge that they will be
filmed whilst on the premises.
β Waste bins will be provided for disposal of rubbish. It is the responsibility of the hirer to
dispose of their own rubbish in the bins provided to keep the area well maintained for
the next hirer.
β Advertising material of any kind must not be displayed without the Centre management
prior consent.
4. Footwear Policy π
Non-marking and badminton specific indoor court shoes are required at all
times. This is to ensure your safety and protection of the playing surface.
You may be asked to change shoes if your footwear is deemed unsuitable for playing on the
surface. We have appropriate shoes for hire or purchase at reception (subject to availability).
Not permitted:
β Running shoes
β Outdoor footwear
β Marking or black-soled shoes
β Multipurpose shoes
β Bare feet or sandals
Staff may refuse court access if footwear is unsuitable. This is to protect our courts so you have
the best experience. When you book a court, you acknowledge that you will wear, hire or buy
appropriate footwear.

πΈ For Our Pickleball Community
We understand many players are used to outdoor courts, but indoor surfaces are different.
Outdoor and running shoes can damage courts and increase injury risk, so we ask all players to
switch to proper indoor footwear.
π§Ό Keep It Clean
Please bring a separate pair of clean, dry shoes just for the courts.
This helps protect the surface and keeps play safe for everyone.
π Court Access
Players without appropriate footwear may be asked to change shoes before playing.
5. Safety & Liability
β The centre is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage of any personal belongings
while using the court.
β You acknowledge that the participation in the activities is at your own risk.
β Nothing in these terms excludes rights under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be
excluded
β We do not provide insurance for injuries sustained while participating in sports,
activities, or events within the centre.
β If you are participating in social play as a Northside Badminton Centre member
organised by the Northside Badminton Centre you may be covered for personal injury
insurance incurred while playing.
β You are responsible for ensuring you are physically fit to play.
β Any injuries or hazards should be reported to staff immediately.
β Warm-up before play is strongly recommended.
β First aid kits are available in the facility as well as a defibrillator.
β Smoking is strictly prohibited in the facility.
β Users must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
β The facility reserves the right to refuse service or access to anyone who does not comply
with these terms and conditions.
6. Equipment
β Players may bring their own equipment (racquets, paddles, shuttlecocks/balls).
β Any hire equipment must be returned in good condition.
β Users must respect the facility and its equipment. Any damage will be charged to the
user.
β Courts are shared between Badminton and Pickleball depending on booking allocation.
β Players must respect allocated court markings and setups.
β Your equipment must not damage court surfaces or fixtures.
7. Children & Juniors
β Children under 16 must be supervised by a parent or guardian unless participating in
supervised programs.
β Guardians are responsible for ensuring safe behaviour and adherence to rules.
8. Venue Closures
We may need to close or reschedule bookings due to:
β Maintenance
β Safety concerns
β Weather-related or unforeseen issues
In these cases, affected bookings will receive a full refund or credit.
9. Photography & Media
β CCTV cameras operate within the facility. All users acknowledge that they will be filmed
whilst on the premises for safety and security reasons.
β From time to time, we may take photos or videos for promotional purposes.
If you do not wish to appear, please inform staff on arrival.
10. Car Park
Customers must park only in the designated Northside Badminton parking bays between 6 am
to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
Outside the above designated time, you may use any carpark that is free and available, ensuring
you do not obstruct the flow of traffic.
If there is no parking available inside the facility, you may park on the street.
No parking is allowed in the drive way.
11 Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be
available on our website.

playersβregardless of their age, gender and ability. These policies are in place to ensure that
the facilities are safe and enjoyable for everyone.
